ADOPT A PUG!

As a lot of you know, Jan and I adopted a little boy pug called Oskar in August. For a lot of reasons, Oskar couldn’t live with his old family, and we were asked to give him a new home. Since we had been wanting a pug for ages, we said yes - and there has been absolutely no regret! Pugs are such charming little pups with so much love for every person they cross path with.

As an ’adoptive-mom’ for a wonderful little puggle boy: If you’ve been thinking about getting a dog, I can highly recommend adopting a pug <3

Do you live in or around Northern California and want to adopt a Pug? PROS - Pug Rescue of Sacramento is a non-profit organization that takes in Pugs and Pug mixes from across Northern California that have been abandoned at pounds or shelters, found as strays or turned in by their owners. Then, they place the pugs in foster care in the private homes of volunteers before they are eventually placed in loving, pre-screened adoptive homes.

If you live in Georgia or somewhere in the Southeast (GA, FL, SC, TN, MO) and want to adopt a Pug? SouthEast Pug Rescue & Adoption is also a non-profit organization that aid in placing lost, surrendered or abandoned pugs in loving, caring homes.

If you live in or around San Diego County and would like to adopt a pug, you can check out PRSDC - Pug Rescue of San Diego County. PRSDC is  a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected, abandoned, and relinquished Pugs and placing them into a new home where they may live out their lives in a loving and caring environment.

Live in Arizona and want to adopt a pug? APARN - Arizona Pug Adoption and Rescue Network is also an non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of the pug breed. APARN‘s mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless, unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Arizona.

All pictures are from the PROS Dinner Social and Fundraiser in August 2011 and are taken by Frolic Photography.
